COURT NEWSPosted 08/26/2008Emergency request to extend time periods for the Fourth District Court of Appeal Administrative order Posted 05/30/2008Due to the recent mandated budget cuts, the Fourth District has been required to make a major reduction of its staff. The court greatly regrets the inconvenience to the attorneys and public, but the staff reduction in the clerk’s office necessitates implementation of significant changes to provide uninterrupted clerk time to keep case processing current. As a result, the public areas of the Fourth District Court of Appeal, including the Clerk’s Office, Library, and entrance to the building, will be closed to the public each business day at 4:00 P.M., effective July 1, 2008. The court will continue to open at 8:00 A.M. Monday through Friday. No filings will be accepted at the courthouse after 4:00 P.M. There will be no physical drop box, but any filing, other than one which is jurisdictional, brought to the Clerk’s Office by 9:00 A.M. will be stamped as filed the previous business day. Additionally, the court is closing its Post Office Box. All mail should be directed to: Fourth District Court of Appeal 1525 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. West Palm Beach, FL 33401 All changes take effect July 1, 2008. |
